Excellent reflectivity

Aluminum is excellent in reflectivity and the tendency becomes stronger as the purity increases. It also shows high reflectivity at a specific wavelength. In a vacuum (and when the influence of the oxide film formed on the aluminum surface is eliminated), aluminum exhibits high reflectivity to light in the ultraviolet region. This property is unique to aluminum and is not found in other metals.
