The Shimizu Plant boasts highest-level technologies in the field of alumina chemicals in Japan. Taking advantage of its technological strengths, the plant has put in place thorough production and quality management systems to ensure the stable supply of high quality products that satisfy the requirements of customers. For their excellent properties, aluminum hydroxide and alumina enjoy wide use as raw materials for flocculants, fire-resistant and heat dissipation fillers for electric and electronic materials, as well as interior materials, such as cultured marble, ceramics, fire-proof materials, and abrasives. As principal raw materials for new ceramics, low soda alumina is also coming into wider use as it has met demanding quality requirements of electronic materials, where high performance and reliability is needed. Drawing on our research and development strengths developed over the years, the Shimizu Plant will continue to strive to provide high value-added products so that we can adequately meet emergent needs of the new era.

Nagoya Plant started operation in 1940,as the Nagoya Plant of Special Light Alloy Co., Ltd. Having updated manufacturing equipment for a number of times in efforts to meet diversifying and rising quality requirements of customers, the plant now boasts an annual production of about one hundred thousand tons as the Nippon Light Metal's only aluminum rolling plant. Utilizing the properties of aluminum, the plant manufactures parts for semiconductor and liquid crystal manufacturing equipment, information-related products such as battery materials and housings for electronic devices, transportation-related products, foil rolls for condensers made of the high purity aluminum produced at Kambara Casting Plant, and other high quality aluminum products. The Nagoya Plant strives to develop high quality, high performance products, offer a wide variety of products from small lots, and deliver them quickly.
